I haven’t written in a while because honestly, I don’t have time for very much of anything these days. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster that I just can’t seem to get off of. It just keeps going and going with only hopes that it slows just enough to catch my breath. When you hear that a mother’s job is never done: it’s true. I’m not sure I can keep up with it all. I’m up at 5a.m. just [...]
Now this is what you call a teething baby and it’s not fun for Kenzie or myself. She has been since she was 3 months old; I thought she was going to get her first tooth early but we are still waiting. Most babies pop their first tooth between 4 and 7 months so it could still be a while; Kenzie will be 6 months next week. She’s been a little fussy which is unlike her because she has been such a calm, easy baby. And she is drooling all over the place. My shirts get wet patches all over them. Between the spit up and drool it’s senseless to keep changing my tops (lol); [...]
Hannah hugs her sister on her way out for her first day of school. I can’t believe how big she has gotten! The way she loves to hold her and absolutely loves being a big sister. I am so proud of her, as I have a feeling she will grow into a wonderful and most beautiful woman. She has a lot of unique characteristics that I think are a great mix between her father and I. It makes me wonder more about myself at her age and what I was like. I have only seen a handful of pictures from when I was a kid but I looked just like Hannah. At least we know where she gets her good looks from j/k. Kenzie looks a lot like her father, actually [...]
Today i was a mess trying to get the kids and myself together. Let me tell you, It is much harder with a 6 month old added into the mix. I’m exhausted. Hannah was super excited and especially cute. Preparing her school supplies for the following day, making sure everything was in order. Normally, bedtime consists of endless unnecessary questions or needs of hers that need to be met. Not last night! It was quite nice too. Tyler didn’t want to even hear the word school during summer break, but he got excited too. Friday night he wanted to go to bed at 8:00 to “practice” for the following week. Surprising [...]
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game beforehelping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man.. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks:
A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . That will bring on a ‘whatever’).
(8) Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!
(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to # 3.
I think i had the pickiest eater ever! When Hannah was three months old, we took her to All Children’s Hospital to make sure her stomach was completely developed because she would constantly spit up her formula. Because she spit up so much she was hungry ALL the time. How could she not! I found myself spending most of my day dealing with [...]
Kenzie is ready for solids! After doing some more research on it, it looks like it is time. Another milestone to experience with her. I was really having a hard time coming to terms with whether i should wait till she was 6 months or not because Hannah has always had eating problems, ever since she was a baby (it is MUCH better now). I didn’t want to start [...]
